Fantasy Football Season 2: Game Week 19 Preview

Keep rollin’ rollin’ rollin’… 6 wins clear at the top of the league. Pretty happy with my 113 score last week, I’ve seen some of the high scores around the league and many people used a chip. I still have all of them remaining so I’m confident that I can do some more damage yet.

Speaking of damage, I’ve lost a player to injury which forced my hand on the transfer front this week. KDB is out for a few weeks and at his price, I can’t afford for him to be sat on the bench. The move was easy, in his place comes Gundogan who has been doing some damage for Kev lately. A bit of a tactical move to cover him, but it also allows me to continue to take advantage of Manchester City’s favourable fixtures.

The second transfer is a tad more of a gamble and might even be considered unnecessary, but I’m in the lead and I think I can afford to take a chance. If it pays off, I could be well set for a few weeks! Out goes previously trusted and bargain-priced comrade, Bednarek. In comes another Manchester City defender, Cancelo.

My captain this week, is Fernandes. Manchester United are in good form and they play Sheffield United, who are not.

McCarthy; Holding, Cancelo, Stones; Gundogan, Fernandes (c), Soucek, Salah; Kane, Bamford, Antonio.

When you are losing by as many as I am you need to make bold moves, and that is why early into the 2nd window… I have played the WILDCARD!!!!

With Cavani seemingly settled in Utd’s team now and with them playing Sheff Utd he is captain!! I would have had a City player as they’re playing WBA but you can’t be sure who is going to play, having said that 3 city players keep their place in the shuffle with Gundogan, Ffoden and 2 goal hero Stones still in.

In comes Watkins, and Ings is covid free so he is back now. A keeper swap sees Villa’s #1 inbetween the sticks and in comes Cresswell, Holding and Ailing of Leeds in my defence.

No real shake-up in midfield because as much as I think Fernandes is overrated, he gets points. Mane will come good again. The 2 city players are joined by Son, so it has points in there.

Now, in the spirit of honesty, I played my wildcard looking at the wrong fixtures – So I don’t assume anything will change next week!!!!

Martinez; Justin, Stones, Cresswell; Foden, Gundogan, Mane, Son, Fernandes; Cavani (c), Ings.
